Preventing the abuse and diversion of prescription drugs

Purdue Pharma (Canada) recognizes that prescription drug abuse is a growing public health problem and we are actively working with government authorities and the medical community to address this issue.

Purdue Pharma (Canada) supports a number of initiatives that address issues of prescription drug abuse and encourage the responsible use of our medicines.

As part of these efforts, Purdue Pharma (Canada) produces a product identification pamphlet that is endorsed by the Canadian Pharmacists Association and designed to be a field reference to help groups such as law enforcement officers and healthcare providers visually identify prescription opioid analgesics and stimulants that are marketed in Canada.

Download our 2016 product identification pamphlet, a tool to assist with product identification of prescription opioid analgesics and stimulants marketed in Canada.
