David A. Pidduck
President and Chief Executive Officer
David A. Pidduck is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Purdue Pharma (Canada). He is responsible for the company’s overall strategy and performance.
Most recently, he held the position of Vice President, Commercial and Business Development for Purdue Pharma (Canada) where he was responsible for leading all commercial aspects of the business: sales and marketing activities, including product management, market research, training, commercial effectiveness and business development.
David joined Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2014 with several years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, drug delivery and device industries. David’s international experience spans a wide array of disciplines, including sales, marketing, finance, business development and corporate strategy. In addition to delivering financial results, he is also known for team-building, people development and successfully managing complex change initiatives.
David earned his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo.
Vice President, Business DevelopmentCameron Carvalho is the Vice President, Business Development, for Purdue Pharma (Canada). Cameron is responsible for leading all product related in-licensing, partnership opportunities and M&A activities for the Canadian market. This entails sourcing, structuring, negotiating and all due diligence activities. Cameron also provides guidance and support to the PMO on projects related to new product launches, business process improvements and product development.
He joined Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2015 from Teva Canada, where he was the Director, Business Development. Prior to his work in the pharmaceutical industry, Cameron worked for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in the Private Investments group and CIBC World Markets in the Securitization and Equity Research departments. He has over 19 years of combined experience in both the finance and pharmaceutical industries.
Cameron earned a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph in 1999, an MBA from Queen’s University in 2005 and Global Professional Masters of Law (GPLLM) from the University of Toronto in 2013.
Vice President, Health Solutions
André Côté is Vice President, Health Solutions accountable for developing commercial capability and driving sales performance in line with Health Canada approved product monographs across our diverse portfolio.
André is a solution-focused leader, excelling at workforce development, teamwork and coaching for performance with 25 years of broad customer-centric pharmaceutical experience. Prior to joining Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2018, he has held roles with increasing scope and accountability across the commercial operations of an innovative pharmaceutical organization, both nationally and globally, that has included sales, learning and development, business development, market access, pricing, commercial capabilities, launch excellence and customer experience.
André holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from Laval University and acts as an industry speaker in pharmaceutical healthcare forums and serves as a North American Panel Judge for the Eye-For-Pharma Awards.
Jacqueline Le Saux
Vice President, Legal
Jacqueline Le Saux is Vice President, Legal for Purdue Pharma (Canada). In this role, she oversees all legal activities and policies, as well as compliance and provides strategic legal input on the Executive Leadership Team.
Before joining Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2009, Jacqueline spent 17 years in leadership positions with a number of companies in the pharmaceutical industry. There she focused on value-enhancing strategic initiatives, including business and product acquisitions and dispositions, capital formation and corporate development. Prior to her career in the pharmaceutical industry, Jacqueline was a partner at McCarthy Tétrault where she specialized in corporate and securities law. From 2009 to 2012, Jacqueline served as a member of the Board of Directors for MaRS Innovation.
Jacqueline earned her B.Sc.L. from Laurentian University in 1975 and an MBA from the University of Ottawa in 1979. She graduated from the University of Toronto Law School with her LLB in 1980.
Vice President Marketing
Melanie Milburn is Vice President Marketing, responsible for the strategic commercialization of our portfolio of approved prescription treatments for ADHD, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), various ophthalmic conditions and pain. Through a research and evidence driven approach, Melanie oversees the development of materials and programs that allows our team to continue to promote our products in line with the Health Canada approved product monograph and in compliance with all relevant rules, regulations and codes, including the Food and Drugs Act.
Melanie has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial operations of Canada’s research-based pharmaceutical companies. She is passionate about helping others grow and develop in their careers. Since joining Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2014, Melanie has headed innovative programs and initiatives that deliver business results while also communicating information about our approved products – including risks and adverse events – in a way that enable healthcare professionals to make the best decisions for their patients.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Applied Health Research from Waterloo University, and is a member of Lean In Canada.
Vice President, Corporate and Government Affairs
Grant Perry is Vice President, Corporate and Government Affairs for Purdue Pharma (Canada). He is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to ensure appropriate patient access to Purdue Pharma (Canada) current and future marketed products. Grant is also responsible for stakeholder relations, communications and designing public policy in the interest of patients and innovation.
Prior to joining Purdue Pharma (Canada), Grant spent 15 years at GSK, most notably as Vice President, Public Affairs and Reimbursement. He previously held leadership roles within the primary care pharmaceutical and vaccine businesses of GSK, contributing to the success of the business both in Canada and abroad. Grant’s background also includes roles with Industry Canada and the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada (now known as Innovative Medicines Canada).
Grant earned a BA (Hons.) in Public Administration from Carleton University in 1993..
Vice President, Manufacturing Operations
John Sebben is Vice President, Manufacturing Operations, for Purdue Pharma (Canada). John is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations, quality & compliance, supply chain and logistics activities. His work includes all managing activities related to product testing, product review & release, production and packaging, manufacturing engineering, validation, procurement, planning, customer service, warehousing and distribution.
He joined Purdue Pharma (Canada) from Patheon, where he was Vice President, North American Supply Chain. John has worked in in both Canadian and international roles at several leading pharmaceutical companies. He has over 30 years of supply chain & manufacturing operations experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
His work leads the transformation of manufacturing operations, from end-to-end, by delivering industry-leading customer service, manufacturing great products that meet global regulatory requirements, and an efficient operation made effective by coaching high performance teams. John works closely within Purdue Pharma (Canada) and its network of independently associated companies to deliver world-class manufacturing and supply chain performance.
John holds an MBA from York University and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto.
Vice President, Finance
Ron Steiner is the Vice President, Finance at Purdue Pharma (Canada). He is responsible for leading the finance and IT activities, including corporate reporting and business planning processes, all financial transactions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Treasury), Procurement and Corporate Tax. He is focused on process improvement and driving the organization to achieve its business objectives while giving back to the community.
He joined Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2016 with over 15 years of experience across the pharmaceutical, consumer health and medical device industries. He led the Canadian operations at Teleflex and has held roles in the financial functions in both Canadian and multinational organizations, including Price Waterhouse. Ron is a CPA, CA and holds a Hons. B.Comm. from McMaster University.
Carina Vassilieva, M.B.A., C.C.P., G.R.P.
Vice President, Human Resources
Carina Vassilieva is Vice President, Human Resources at Purdue Pharma (Canada). She is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all human resources activities. This includes ensuring the appropriate talent is in place, engaged and motivated to help the company meet strategic and commercial plans, while delivering on key milestones.
Joining the company in 2017, Carina’s considerable experience spans large organizations in Global Management Consulting, Consumer and Retail, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and Education sectors. Most recently, Carina served as the Associate Client Partner, Executive Compensation and Total Rewards at Korn Ferry Hay Group and Senior Director, Organizational Effectiveness at Sofina Foods Inc.
Carina’s education background is diverse and accomplished. She earned a Master of Business Administration from California Coast University and her BA of Engineering from the State University of Printing in Moscow. Carina also obtained her Certified Compensation Professional and Global Remuneration Professional designations from WorldatWork (formerly American Compensation Association and Canadian Compensation Association).
