As Vice President, Research and Development, Tom is responsible for the external R&D strategy, and the management of all current and future plans involving our Pharmaceutics, Analytics, Clinical Development, Medical and Regulatory Affairs functions.

Most recently, Tom’s experience includes Vice President roles in both International and United States Medical Affairs at Shire and Senior Director leadership of Global Clinical Epidemiology at Abbott Laboratories. Tom has also held positions in the Montreal Regional Public Health Directorate and is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health, in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. He earned a Master of Science and a Doctor of Medicine from McGill. He is both a Quebec College and Royal College certified specialist physician in Public Health & Community Medicine, and received his Master of Business Administration from the John Molson School of Business. Tom sits on numerous corporate, philanthropic and community boards.
